I am a parent, and I like working with parents and caregivers. If you have a child, tween, or teen, and you're looking for some help, you and I will figure out how your child's behavior is shaped by their world: school, family, neighborhood/community, current events etc.. I work to bolster your sense of comfort, reassurance, bravery, humor, and joy as you raise your child.
In parent support we can work on:
-Identifying recurring stressors (bedtime, transition to/from school, boundaries around screen time) and gently problem-solving till stress is reduced.
-Increasing happy, positive moments between you and your child--those times when you just enjoy each other's presence.
-Increasing organization and helpful structure in the home/schedule to increase chances of calm moments between you and your child.
-Guidance on how ADHD or Autism make your child who they are, and tips on how to support their needs.
-Guidance on the needs of former foster care children, and how past experience affect their behavior, you, and your relationship.
